Section 1Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of HiVAM's platform, website, dashboard, APIs, IoT hardware, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This AUP is part of and supplements the Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
Section 2Permitted Uses
The Services are intended for legitimate business use in logistics, fleet management, transportation, and warehouse operations. You may use the Services to:
- Track and manage vehicles, drivers, and assets
- Plan, dispatch, and monitor trips and shipments
- Manage warehouse inventory and operations
- Analyse fleet performance and operational metrics
- Integrate with authorised third-party systems via our APIs
- Access and manage IoT device data
Section 3Prohibited Activities
You must not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access or extract data from the Services beyond what is permitted by the APIs
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Services
- Circumvent or disable any security, access control, or rate-limiting features
- Transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or engage in phishing
- Impersonate any person, entity, or HiVAM representative
- Use the Services for any illegal surveillance or tracking activity
- Share, resell, or sublicense access to the Services without HiVAM's written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, servers, or networks connected to the Services
- Upload or transmit data that infringes intellectual property rights
- Use the Services for cryptocurrency mining or other resource-intensive activities unrelated to logistics
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that you are not authorised to access
Section 4Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Using strong, unique passwords and enabling multi-factor authentication where available
- Reporting any unauthorised access or security breach to HiVAM immediately
- Ensuring that access to the Services is limited to authorised personnel within your organisation
- Properly managing user roles and permissions within your account
Section 5API Usage
If you access the Services through our APIs, you must:
- Comply with all API documentation and rate limits
- Use API keys and tokens securely; do not share them publicly or embed them in client-side code
- Not exceed published rate limits or make excessive requests that degrade service for others
- Not use the APIs to build a competing product or service
- Promptly update your integration when API changes are announced
Section 6Data Integrity
You must not:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent data to the Services
- Manipulate telemetry, sensor, or location data
- Interfere with IoT hardware to generate false readings
- Delete or alter audit logs or system records
Section 7Enforcement
HiVAM reserves the right to investigate potential violations of this AUP and take appropriate action, including:
- Issuing warnings
- Temporarily suspending access to the Services
- Permanently terminating your account
- Reporting violations to law enforcement authorities
- Pursuing legal remedies for damages caused by violations
HiVAM may, at its sole discretion, determine whether a use of the Services violates this AUP. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any enforcement action, except where doing so may compromise an investigation or violate legal obligations.
Section 8Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any activity that violates this AUP, please report it to us at admin@hivam.in. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
Section 9Changes to This Policy
HiVAM reserves the right to modify this AUP at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
